Well, I’ll agree with two of your picks. REM’s “inside the Moral Kiosk” by far the best. Could be the defining album of the 80′s and up there with the Velvet Underground in terms of defining “alternative music” for a generation. The Church’s “Under the Milky Way” also a great album. Killing Joke has a better song that sums up your post. It’s called “Living in the 80′s”. Sonic Youth and Bauhaus – overrated and Modern English? I got tired of rewinding that tape for the one good song. I think I gave it to my little brother.
