Ike Photos

Lifestyle, Photography, Surfing

Here are a few photos of the surf and coastal flooding occurring as a result of Hurricane Ike here in Pensacola. For some reason, I don’t remember this type of elevated sea level from other passing hurricanes but when you look at the satellite imagery and the overall size of this storm, it makes sense. All I can say is look out Texas…

Best in Pensacola

Posted on September 7, 2008

Art, Lifestyle

The Independent News, a local, well respected weekly publication is holding a vote for the “Best of Pensacola”. This is something they do yearly and if you’ve been to good restaurants around town, you’ve seen the awards. It is a great appraisal of what local people in the town think is good or the best. Either way, a buddy of mine, Joe Hobbs is one of the nominees for the “Best Local Artist”. Here is the link to make your voice heard on that topic and several others that are very interesting and can prove an introspective look on the mindset of local Pensacolians.
