Great Song – Will you smile again

Posted on April 14, 2008

Surfing

This band (…and you will know us by the trail of the dead) has been around since the late 90′s and is really hitting its’ stride. This song was released in 2005. I’m just finding it now. Very powerful and very inspirational while having a deceptively simple hook.
Let me know what you think.

Roger’s Guitar Shop

Posted on April 10, 2008

Music

I have a guitar that my mother purchased for me on my 22nd birthday. It has proved to be one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. A concert classical guitar, it has a tone and rumble that can’t be described. Like a wubby (child’s blanket) I’ve dragged that thing with me everywhere. In transit, it has endured more chips, scratches, dents and cracks then you could imagine. It needed to be fixed years ago, but I had no idea who does that custom work and the damage wasn’t life threatening. A month ago a good friend of mine (terry) dropped the guitar in our garage. It separated the back from the main body of the guitar. I had a nice little melt down that my friends have hung on to like gold. Either way, I did some research and found a guy in pace of all places that did an amazing job on the guitar for a very reasonable price. His name is Roger and here is his store information:

Roger’s Guitar Shop
3659 Highway 90
Milton, FL 32571
(850) 994-4724

My guitar is solid again and producing the same sounds that it once made. Not to mention Roger has some amazing guitar knowledge outside of repair.

Lyndi Lee Pensacola Photographer = Fraud

Posted on April 7, 2008

Art, Lifestyle, Photography

Most of my friends are in the process of getting married or are already married. Getting married is a major moment in anyone’s life. So great precausions are made in capturing those moments. Most search the internet to find a local photographer. A friend of mine recently hired a wedding photographer named Lyndi Lee from Pensacola Florida. Things turned into a nightmare so I’m doing my civic duty by posting a “very bad experience with a wedding photographer” letter. Lyndi Lee has skipped town leaving several newly wed couples several thousand dollars poorer and photoless. If anyone has any information on this person please comment. Here is a letter from my friend:

To Whom It May Concern:

My wife and I were married this past September and used Lyndi Lee Photography for our wedding pictures. Although Lyndi Lee was very personable and easy to get along with, in the end she is a thief and a liar.

We had a contract with Lyndi Lee Photography for 200 prints and a number of larger prints to be chosen from the initial prints. We received the prints and were immediately disappointed. They were very small (approximately 4×4), very dark, and of poor quality. After voicing our concerns to Lyndi Lee she immediately said she would fix the prints for us and ensured us that the larger prints we paid for would be much nicer and would not require touch-ups.

That conversation took place approximately 5 months ago and we have not herd from Lyndi Lee since. We have repeatedly tried to contact her both by phone and email with no response. She does not return email and has changed her number. She apparently has moved from the Pensacola/Milton area.

My wife recently contacted the owner of the property where Lyndi Lee Photography operated out of in an attempt to find a new number or forwarding address. The landlord of the property said he has no knowledge of where she had moved or how to get in touch with her. In addition, he pointed out that my wife was the second person to approach him about Lyndi Lee. Apparently another couple used her for their wedding and never received ANYTHING from Lyndi Lee! My wife is crushed from our situation so I can’t imagine how she would have handled receiving nothing. You can never relive those times.

Anyone who is looking for a Photographer for anything should be aware of Lyndi Lee Photography and refrain from using her. We don’t know where she has moved to or if she intends to start her business again. Her current website address is http://lyndilee.com/

If anyone has any information regarding Lyndi Lee please comment. Thank you.
